$0KILKEE based music festival Cois Fharraige is to go ahead again this September, it has been confirmed.$0$0Heavyweight Manchester band Doves are the headline act for the three day music festival, which drew thousands of revellers to the idyllic seaside village last year. $0$0Joining Doves are The Zutons, Newton Faulkner, Noah & The Whale, The Hold Steady, Stereo MC's, Lightning Seeds and Jerry Fish, with more acts yet to be announced in the coming days. $0$0The Limerick Leader revealed in June that the festival - which was hit when previous sponsors withdrew their support - was still being pursued, despite fears to the contrary. Meetings between local businesses and promoters MCD resulted in considerable financial support being raised locally, ensuring the festival could indeed take place. $0$06,500 tickets will go on sale early next week for the festival, which has sold a significant percentage of tickets to Limerick based music fans in the last two years - Kilkee long being favoured as one of the top holiday destinations for local people, given its close proximity to Limerick. $0$0The three day event is billed as "Ireland's number one music and water sports festival", with surf competition taking place in tandem with the music festival last year.
